Alan, a while ago I saw some story boards for the first Ghostbusters movie, and the way you described the Ghostbusters NES game reminded me of them. In the story boards the Ghostbusters were wearing helmets and looked a little different than in the movie. It makes me wonder if the Ghostbusters NES game was based off these story boards as well as some early concept art of the movie; maybe by the time the movie was being shot the Ghostbuster uniform had changed but it was too late to change them in the game. I imagine this kind of thing happens a lot when movie video games attempt release dates that are current with their respective films.
